Mystery Car 3am Saturday Warwickshire
Discussion
No, I wasn't pissed!
3 o'clock this morning (Sat 26 April) a car went through our village and woke me up. My best guess - not having seen it - is that it was a large - very large - vintage straight-6; think Bentley 6.5 litre on open pipes. Magnificent sound, but enormously noisy in the early hours. Too low-revving for something like an Aston or TVR; it sounded like a tuneful Gatling-gun at full chat!
I listened to it passing the bottom of our street then accelerating up the hill towards the A45, pulling out of the junction then accelerating up through the (3) gears on to the M45. I'll swear that I then heard it turn onto the Fosseway whereupon I lost it.
Anybody else hear anything?
