When I press the accelerator it's not returning to it's normal position straight away so rev the engine and it stays revved until I physically pull the pedal back.

Is it sprung? need adjustment/oiling somewhere?

Any help/advice appreciated smile

O&g, MPETT on here had a similar problem.

IIRC, he lubricated pedal pivot....I also posted that I had an issue with the orientation of the Clevis pin /P clip fouling on the adjacent linkage stopping the full return of the inner cable.
It's not unheard of for the cable to break. Maybe the inner is starting to fray?

Some helpful stuff here.
http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

My first Tuscan had this problem when I first got it.
Turned out to be a bit of corrosion on the bushes of the pedals on the pivots.
It got better with use.
My latest Tuscan had the same last year and I had new bushes fitted.
I've got the same problem again now and will take a look tomorrow and lubricate them.

Cheers guys. I'll take the cover off around the pedals and give everything a clean and lubricate and see if that solves it.
