Fitting sub woofer to 3 Series :)
Discussion
Hello,
Would you fit a subwoofer to your company beemer? well I would.
Anyway... as I intend to I'm curious about a couple of items.
The battery is in the boot, this is very good news ! Am I right in assuming you can simply connect the positive power to the positive battery terminal without causing any problems?
The second one is where to earth it? Is it safe to earth it to the negative point on the battery or does it need to be earthed somewhere else ?
Hmmmm,
Chris

I'm guessing this is an active sub, hence the need for power
You can wire it straight to the battery, but don't forget to have a fuse no more than a foot (ish) from the battery side of the cable, and you can wire it straight back to the earth as long as that cable isn't that long, again no longer than about a foot, or just earth it to a bit of chassis/bodywork (remember to scratch off the paint)
You can see the power cable on the right of this photo of my BM a few years ago, the earth is there as well but being black you can't see it
