Anyone care to expound on the difference between VT/SV etc? Are they all 4WD?

SV's are 2WD and VT's are 4WD. I think there may be one 2WD VT in the country.

Cheers for clearing that up jason

Vixpy - don't be put of by the VT - it certainly doesn't feel 4WD when you're in it - and if the SV is any scarier than that then you might spend a lot of time with the badgers whilst you're getting to learn it...

SV's are RWD / VT's are 4WD.
VT's are longer and heavier.
VT's have more top end speed.
I don't think VT's have T/C and the SV's do, could be wrong.
I also think the early SV's had more BHP and were quicker 0-60, not like anyone would notice the slight difference though!

Did all SV's have the JOTA air scoops???

Cue Tony996hasgoneandboughtaVT......

Personal opinion would be either an early SV and save some money or blow it all on a late 6.0 VT.

The one in Santa Agata at the moment if it hasn't been sold already is gorgeous, Titanium LHD SV....was very tempted a few weeks back

Seem to recall some estate agent called Piers who must've ran Lambo UK for about 20, 25 minutes some years ago commenting on the optionality of gear ratios available.

Some SVs were geared for more freakish acceleration, others more for top speed.

I'd have thought the SV was always likely to be potentially quicker due to lightness?

OK, so according to your Lambo website, the early VT's were 490ish BHP and the early SV was 510 BHP so you're wrong there mister!!

Anyway, I am now Tony406hasgonesonomoremegettingflaggeddown you bastard....and I made a profit on it too

yep - looking forward to that - shame(or bank managers relief!) that the LP400 isn't there. May not have slept much as am at a 30th birthday the night before. Better line up the bloody marys

P.S. sa classics in liquidation - anyone else confirm this? Website is still there and no info on that...

If you mean the 2wd VT (late 6.0 model), I believe it is no more, unless the one I'm thinking of was different ...... it was certainly a 6.0 Audi-fied one (black), so I guess it was a VT - awesome car, posibbly the best Diablo ever.... unfortunately ended round a tree I believe, new owner first Lambo, I guess the owner wasn't scared enough .....
