Guys,

I'm about to start my quest to find a tidy year old Gallardo (usually get best pricing in Jan/Feb).

Question is what's the right sort of ballpark price for say a 53/04 plated 5-6000 mile Gallardo manual?

Couple of dealers offering new cars for circa £115k - and based on the huge bath that I took when I sold my 1 year old Diablo SV - I was hoping to pick one up for substantially less than that! (Although I could stretch to a new one if I had to - i.e to get the spec. I wanted)

Just guessing that the novelty has worn off and a many of the fashionistas will be moving onto the next "emperors new clothes" i.e 430 / V8 Vantage etc. etc.

On that basis maybe hoping we'd see cars in the £85-90k range?

Anybody got any recent experience/feedback?

Thanks

Well i think your estimate of what the realistic value should be og 85/90k is about right - but i dont think one will suceed in getting that just yet.

It seems there are many used LG on the market but all are reluctant to take a hit on the price so there is mush hope value. The lowest ive seen was 104k in sunday times 2 weeks ago.

Ive always taken the view that these cars shoiuld be priced in porsche turbo arena so maybe later this year??

I have been watching the german cars for a while to try to get an idea of which way the prices are going.

It looks as though the cars are not moving at all.

Because the same cars are STILL there - its looks as though either no offers are being made or the owners are not dropping the prices.

approx 74k gbp gets you into a 10kms car.

The exchange rate stinks though at 1.42 gbp/euro.

Guys,

Thanks for the info. I've discounted the idea of a Left-Hooker - I live out in the country, and car will be used daily as my commute vehicle on a number of "B", and unclassified roads - visibility is paramount due to the amount of "traffic" I'll be overtaking each day!

Maybe after Christmas, whilst in the depths of winter we'' start to see some reality enter the market pricing strategy - £90k is the right sort of price for a 1 year old car at this level.

Gallardos wont depreciate like Diablo / Murci anyway - cos people can actually own and drive them regularly.

Reason diablo drops like stone to start with is cos lots of people think they want to own one...and then do... think Murci has scared a few people into selling too. rather like a Yamaha R1!

Looked long and hard at the Gallardo, but gave up because for me there's no service within 270 miles.

Jan/Feb might provide the chance of a haggle just below £100k, but maybe if you wait until after Bliar gets back in you'll save much more...

didn't let it put me off in the past - when I owned Diablos (two SV's on the trot) - i had to get them down to London for servicing (300 miles each way) - now there's Manchester - a little bit closer!.

Just want to correct myself.
Spoke to the dealer that had a 04/04 black 11800kms car for sale for 109k euros - that car was without tax.

So add the vat on and it aint cheap.

And he'd sold it.

Was thinking about one too...but same part of the world to you...too far to Manchester when it goes wrong. Mind you can Audi dealers fix basic faults?

I dont think so.

They probably could (Electrics atleast). But I doubt it will help your warranty and residuals.

Also I was looking on mobile.de for a friend, and those LHD gallardo's are really drying up. There were only 4 pages and very few cheap ones. There used to be ~15+ pages not too long ago. Also the Autotrader doesnt seem to have many now either.

People packed them away for winter?

Left hooker on here for £72k.

Doesn't say whether there's VAT on top though - shouldn't be at 6000 kms.
