I was planning on making a post about how I had measured my 23 and 25mm PRO4 SCs and the differences in size. I'll still make this some time but instead, for now, here's a rant.

Measuring my "80mm" valves fitted to my rim lead me to believe that I had plenty of room to fit 60mm valve tubes, because there was much more than 20mm sticking out

WELL 60mm VALVE TUBES DON'T F***ING WORK DO THEY?! No, they bloody don't. Why don't they? Well because BL***Y F***ING CONTINENTAL MAKE THEIR F***ING "80MM" VALVES 90MM long. Whereas vredstein aren't idiots, and make their 60mm valves... 60mm long.

Now I have £24 of condom-material inner tubes which are only useful as ornaments. wkers.

Buy a topeak valve extender. £6 and you can use without having to remove the core of your tubes then just leave it on one of the wheels for when you might need to repair a flat.

Great idea, I'll take a look to see if the valve extenders that came with my wheels will work without removing the valve cores. Failing that, I'll buy one of these. (I'll be using a butyl as a spare, so can just leave it at home).

I use them on my tubs and TT bike. Good bits of kit I reckon.

An update. I located my valve extenders, and used them to inflate the latex tubes. It was a little fiddly, but the result was worth it because the ride is excellent
