After spending far too much time on that 'other thread' today was the day I finally took the 993 out of hibernation.

WOW-EE-WOW-EE-WOW-WOW!!!

Just a gentle ride to pop over and see a friend, an hour there and an hour and a half back.

I'd forgotten how utterly lovely the car is. It feels 'right', smells 'right' and oh my god I've missed the sound of those Techart boxes. The steering felt better than I remember, the feedback is amazing.

I love my 993.

Anyone else broken hibernation this week?

Took mine out of hibernation yesterday for its MOT, passed but new front tyres required. It felt so much better than I remember, mine had only been tucked away for 8 weeks while I was out of the country.

I guess I'd forgotten the great handling and super sweet engine soundtrack, I've also got Techarts, it felt like driving it for the first time again.

Sounds great but where's the pics? wink

Taxing my GT3 on the 1st of May then it's straight down for a service, back the week after then a run out on the 2nd weekend in May.
Getting excited! driving

Took my 964's out for a spin last night, great fun and the first drive of the year for them!

I took my 997.2 GT3 RS out of hibernation on Saturday.

It went to Reading OPC on Monday for the SatNav upgrade, a once over and quick bit of under sealing and is now officially ‘back in use’. Making plans for this weekend already.

Having cancelled a 991 GT3 order and bought this instead, I am feeling like I dodged a bullet…

i've pressed my 993 Carrera 2 into service this week as my daily driver/station car (7 miles each way) - brilliant, great to be able to use a 911 every day of the week. the noise, the feel, the flaws, who cares, overflowing with charisma. new cars (including Porsche's) are so bloody dull.

Mine came out a couple of weeks ago but did a good 350 miles this weekend which was great and pleased all the senses.

I've just come back from the first run out of the year in my 996.2 GT3, my daily is a nice low mileage M5 which is lovely in so many ways, until you drive the Porsche
