In Evo!

I thought it might be you as I read it, and it turns out it is. I look forward to reading more soon.

I have'nt read it yet! Hope you like it. I'm going to include some funny (i hope) stories in the next few issues about owning one instead of the usual understeer and brakes stuff.

Yes, it was good, but that bit of Evo is generally my favourite anyway!

One question, how did you get the opportunity to write for them - did they ring you or vice versa? Or maybe you know people on the magazine anyway?

Also, YHM

Yea, I contacted them some time ago as I liked that bit of Evo and I would'nt turn down some cash towards running it. Plus I enjoy writing and you never know where it might take you. I suspect that article has had a lot edited out as will the next few but we'll see

I cant quite make up my mind whether I prefer the colour of your Lambo or Richard Meadens new Lime Green Exige

Loud colours for mad cars is definately the way to go.

Good article BTW Simon. Do you really sit in your garage looking at the car in the dead of night?

The car looks great in the mag. Nice one, Simon.

I saw the Evo photographers taking pics of your car when I was leaving Vmax.

Talking of Vmax, I remember lining up next to you in my Boxster S ready for a "race". I was trying to listen to the noise of the Tubi on your car but it was drowned out by a large gaggle of PHers laughing at the mismatch between our 2 steeds. Thanks chaps!!

Simon,

Noticed the article as well. I assume the engine shot was taken in the country lane, near to Brunters, when you were parked up. We did a U turn after getting lost in the red 575 and saw you there. Interestingly, there was no mention of VMAX in the article, will it feature in an update?

Looking forward to reading about it in the future. By the way you mentioned David Yu in your article. It seems he's been taken off the list of contributing writers. Have you taken his place? It was interesting reading about the cars he was getting from the P1(?) club and hopefully these will continue.

Cheers

Steve

Hi Steve,

I did'nt mention vmax this time cos it was in October and the report was the aimed at the first month after delivery ie September. I will mention it but it won't be until Jan cos next months report is about a trip to France with the fast fleet and not written by me as it covers all the cars together. Actually got the call about France this morning for next week!
David Yu will be back, if you go on the unmentionable ferrai website he talks on one thread about the Evo article on the Murci, about what his plans are but I believe he has a 430 on order...

Simon,

I'm thinking it might be best not to mention Vmax to the Evo readership? Vmax is a nice cosy affair at present, a sudden deluge of interest from people whio aren't already PHers might spoil it? There have been threads about keeping Vax publicity to a minimum over on the Vmax forum. Obviously no offence intended, just my thoughts.
