Today I am mostly thinking of:

- One of these, totally standard, for some reason has a big allure so I can channel my inner bogan:

- Much want:

I stick my postcode + 100km and a limit of 10k in ebay motors, filter to pre-1990, and find several dozen ways of getting divorced!

V8 HZ ute is very appealing at the moment, once I get rid of the Foulcan.

It's even better than that smile

I've fancied one for ages but don't have the space as the garage ornament isn't moving for a while. Whilst talking about how much I want one, a mate got the same idea.

Mate is going to buy one and is going to be my new housemate. House golf-buggy. Win.

ETA: should clarify I have garage and carport. Porsche in the garage, Toyota by the pub, Moke in the carport.

Result.

I've been having unholy thoughts about getting a Citroen C6.

And a Westfield.

So have I. There's a nice looking black GTI on carsales with Ronal wheels you may have seen, with upside down side stripes (a pet hate). There's a yellow 16v on Dellortos (iirc) on vwwatercooled that looks very good.

Also thinking recently about a Fabia RS, effectively Polo GTI, with some good mods, debadged, trimmers... Lack of manual gearbox probably the barrier there.

Not terribly exciting, but for daily driving stuff, I've got a real hankering to get a late-07 Forester XT in the best condition I can find, and pair it with as good a Liberty GT STi wagon as I can find, say MY08, and then just drive them. The two Subarus we've got are just the ticket, and I think the later stuff is just too bloated. The Forester has been incredibly reliable and versatile, and I've bonded well with the Lib in the 6 months I've had it such that I really wish I'd bought the best I could find.

Something like these two...

Not as exciting as a Moke, a Porsche and a Toyota, but not much in the world is... biggrin

fk, agreeing again, but Forrester XT/STI has so many good points, it always sits in the back of my mind.

Great thread PG.

Today it's been an Alfa 159 3.2 Q4.

And an Audi A8.

In a bargey kind of mood.

I looked at the campaign one, used to be white so not as original as I'd hoped frown still, it is a really nice car just priced as if it had a quarter the k's and totally original.

Loving the mini moke!

Have you seen the Autocar vids where they pit yesterday's heroes against their modern equivalent in a 1/4 mile dash? They had mk2 8v gti against a diesel Tdi - won't tell you the result wink

With you on the Caprice's Moto, especially the HSV. Having much love for the Aussie Mafia car. If it was in the UK people would be loving them.

I must say the latest HSV Senator is somewhat 'mmmm'. All I can say is 'exhausts'.

Well, thanks to this thread I've now scoured the internet and have done the Man Maths. My only problem will be selling the current cars quick enough when the right ones come up - don't have cash to keep three at the mo, can't have fewer than two... Will prob pass on the Moke
