Are there any decent hills around East London. I'm in e3 and want to get some hill training in for my marathon but it's all so flat round here. I could head north but I've only got limited time on Saturday and want to keep it as local as poss. Any ideas ?

Greenwich park has a couple of fierce little numbers, although they aren't long. Maze hill road, which runs up the side of the park, is quite tasty as well

How about around Chingford/Sewardstone, and that end of Epping Forest - not be too far away.

Used to cycle around that area and there's a mix of inclines there.

Didn't think about Greenwich so I'll take a run over there and pay some respects to the hills there.

If you're going that far go to Highgate. Less traffic and steeper/longer hills.
