Ok, any body have a picture of how cables the cables run, spent ages trying to sort it out.

Hi Alan,
I thought somebody would've been on here with the answer by now, but just
because no-one's replied yet, it doesn't mean we don't care.
I presume you want to know where the brackets are fitted, but I'm not much help I'm afraid. The forward cable must run from the handbrake lever base in the tunnel to the slack adjuster, then I would have thought a guide bracket of some sort, then a splitter to each rear cable, two body /chassis brackets at the end of the tunnel where the inners enter the outers, a bracket on each radius arm where the outer cables are attached, then passing through the backplates to the brake shoe lever arms.
But I seem to remember you are fitting rear discs?

Have you got the cables yet to play about with?
A man of your kaliber should be able to establish the ideal run with them.

Hopefully someone will post some pics & a far more helpful reply than this one. smile
Keep up the good work, Phillpot & I are looking forward to our rides in it wink

Not the best picture but.......

Taken looking in from in front of the rear wheel drivers side.

A is trailing arm

B is main chassis member coming out to seat belt mount/rear of outrigger

C is bracket on chassis to secure outer handbrake cable. this is the "fixed" side, adjuster is on near side.

D is , you've guessed, the hand brake cable.

from the bracket, as Glen says, the cable just curves round in a smooth arc to the backplate, or caliper if you have disc's, with a little stud and a "P" clip on the trailing arm to guide it.

I was thinking more of 'kaliber' a la Tony Hancock! wink

Not wishing to be pedantic, but I reckon it should be swaged rather than crimped. A crimp may not be strong enough to park on an Alp. wink

Should be able to make something up in Steel and get it crimped / swaged on.
