I've seen variations of 180-195+

I'm never going to go anywhere these speeds, but how fast have people been?

I've seen a vid of a Tuscan s get 177 at a vmax event before it hits braking markers so it's got to be over 180?? That's must be pretty frightening in a fibreglass car!

Hi, 174 at Bruntingthorpe airfield, and it was still pulling, I chickened out

Steady as a rock, and sounded like a screaming banshee, it was a superb sound

That's very impressive, was it the 3.6?

185 or so in my Tuscan S on a German Autobahn. Was surprisingly stable, although the front splitter did snap in half from the load on it. hehe

I'll tell you in June!
Part of our event route takes us from Hannover to Prague, 300kms of derestricted Autobahn at 7am on a Sunday morning. Should be good for some all out sprints if I'm brave enough/Engine doesnt explode! nuts
Will be driving alongside some impressive machinery so will probably be made to feel like I'm dawdling along at times rolleyes

Sounds interesting.. Is it a tvr event??
I'm at Le Mans in June and then heading to st Tropez for a week before heading back but haven't decided what route to do on return leg..

I don't even know how strict they are in France or if they have speed cameras etc??

No its an event I run, there are some other TVRs but were also accompanied by some M5s, MP4 12Cs, Porkers and rudely tuned Jap things, will certainly be a spectacle but I know who'll make the most noise! biggrin

That sounds awesome, I'd love to join a convoy like that.
Up here in Cumbria there not much in the way of exotica at all or meets.

No, it was a 4.0 S. Steady as a rock, but did have nitron, geo checks and front spacers,

Dave.

They have plenty of speed cameras, but I am not sure the tickets make their way over here. Not a couple of years ago, but things may have changed, see link below.

As for strict, yes. On the spot fines or impounding car if fast enough. Not tried it myself.

Hit 168 at runway run a few years back but wasn't maxed out.

Got to 150 very quickly then slow increase from there.

Was a few years ago and fresh from a TVR power rebuild. Still pulling at 185 however I ran out of road. I thrashed the hell out of her that week, leaving plenty of exotica in my wake, and she loved every mile of it. "Cruised" for many a mile between 140 and 175 mph with the roof off too, no trouble smile

Says a lot for the rebuild. I take it you had to do a run in period first though ?,

What kind of performance is the Tuscan S similar too in terms of exotica then in your experience??

Interesting. Thanks for that, I intend to gather as much info as possible. But people say the speeding tickets can be forgotten about if sent to you when your back home, but with the cash fines I bet the police are out in force on Le Mans week all the "bonuses" they will make!

Last time I went to Le Mans we counted 15 speed traps on the way there.
