PH Jerseys: Rules of Wearing

Right… now that I've got most of everyone's money for the PH Cycling Jersey, I want your attention as I'm going to start putting conditions around delivery….

After reading through various posts about cyclist / drivers / confrontations / helmet cams etc there are certain rules I would like you to follow. As I am not taking any financial benefit for the work and effort that I am putting in to getting these shirts sorted, I would like my payment instead to be free, but in the form of the following 4 simple promises:


1. You may NEVER use a helmet cam whilst wearing your PH top
2. You will cycle with gentlemanly dignity and decorum at all times, respectful of all other road users
3. You will at all times obey the highway code
4. You will NEVER EVER EVER jump a red light

Being as how I got my jersey from the original run, and those conditions were not enforced at the time I formed my contract with 'the supplier', does this mean I can behave as I damned well please and freely break all of those rules/conditions

I've thought about that when PH-tastic cars come past, and I always worry they'll not see it's a and instead think I'm swearing

+1. A bloke in our club has one, and since installing it, seems to take pride in self-righteously impeding traffic at every opportunity.

Do you require that all cars with PH stickers on are driven similarly to your "cycling with a PH jersey" rules?

I am a gent in both vehicles, I have been berated whilst enjoying either - for infractions I cannot understand from either party (legal highway code abiding actions like traveling slower than the speed limit [usually round corners], but "slow down!" from some self-righteous arse) so I can't guarantee that there won't be a "what's up with this pistonheads shirt wearing tool?" in the near future. ( I already have an earlier one too.)

I also note that in the discussions on last year's shirt the slogan "speed matters" was removed from the logo to avoid offence. Are we now going along with the PC crowd? Speed is ok in bucket loads in a car, but offensive on a push-bike? oops.

Generally I support the motion. But someone will make it meaningless in the near future....

Makes me chuckle, I can't help calling "time for telly tubbies" when I see them helmet cam and pyjamas dawdling round trail centres.

Looking at the number of size XL (and larger) jerseys being ordered, "speed matters" is just asking for a piss taking when you're crawling up a slight incline, no?
