Anyone know what Warning Code J relates to ? I can't find andything in the "manual".

Last night I had been going rather quickly for about 3 miles through some twisty country roads, with some ups & downs (just what the doctor ordered) and then entered a built up area so slowed down and started to drive more sensibly. The engine cut out and up came warning code J (I think !). It felt like it had run out of petrol (which it hadn't). I turn the engine over and it started and has been fine ever since (took it out this morning rather carefully).

So with a "J"...

.. it could be cause or effect, couldn't it? Whatever it stalled for, it might be that in re-starting it got confused. How has your oil level been?

Oil level has been fine. Checked regularly and doesn't seem to use much.

It has recently (about 1000 miles ago) had it's 1000 mile oil change after a rebuild.

What does "Oil Pressure Open Circuit" actually mean ?

I would imagine that 'open circuit' means that there is no discernable voltage reading from the sensor, so is all the necessary wiring intact?

I haven't taken the bonnet off to look, although if I did I'm not sure I would know what to look for ?

I would run over to the local TVR dealership and I am sure they will plug a computer in and it will tell them nothing and I will waste everyone's time. If it happens again I will but for now I thought I would find out if anyone else had had the same problem.
