Hi guys,

The ST has started developing a taste for the inside edge of my near side front tires, so thinking the tracking my be slightly amiss...

Anywhere good for 4 wheel allignment that won't cost the earth?

Over to you PH!

STS in Biggleswade were decent before (though I haven't been there for a few years now).

If you're looking for a specialist / tuner, might be better off posting on one of the RS forums and see who they recommend?

I'm taking my MX-5 along to Vanquish Autocentre in St Neots for my alignment on Saturday. £60 + Vat and using the latest Hunter system/tech. They're putting a fast road/track set up on my car and the main guy there seems to know his stuff as has all kinds of racing experience.

Center gravity set up my 944 nearly 5 years ago and I've thought about having the settings rechecked now, St.Neots is local to me so I'm interested what Vanquish can do for £60, ie camber/toe/castor check/adjust ?

I'm hoping they can do the lot. He was certainly raving about his new toy. I'll report back once I've seen them on Saturday.

Hi all, thanks for all the replies!

Ended up using STS in Biggleswade! Had a 4 wheel alignment done for just under £60 so not all that bad! smile

Not sure if that was a question to me, but no - The 996 was set up at 9Excellence 6 months ago, so doesnt need it. Assuming they do an okay job of my MX-5, I see no reason not to take the 996 there as and when it needs it.

It was for you, mind saying how much 9excellence charged ?

To be honest, I can't remember. It was done as part of a list of other work done at the same time. I do rate them very highly though.

I made the trip to Wheels in Motion to get my MR2 setup for track, and they did a great job. Would be interested to hear about the St Neots place though; much closer and I need my LS checking soon.

well - got to take the car around bedford on saturday and the fast road set up put on by the guys at Vanquish was great. Car was very pointy and seemed to turn in instinctively. Very happy.

If only the car could manage ore than 2 laps without cutting out....
