Hi everyone,
I have 2 tickets for the TVR dinner dance at Blackpool staying at the De Vear this Saturday 27th Nov and one double room, But will need to know if anyone wants the room by Thursday night, because if it is not needed i will cancel it ! Tickets are £50.00 each the room you would pay for at the De Vere
Contact Darren Dowling on 07958 754726.

Let me guess,
TVR have been forthcoming with all the details of the new 2005 TVR Challenge so that competitors can now get on with all the things they need to do and set up sponsorship deals.............
Oh look, flying Pigs
Come back Peter, all is forgiven, at least you used to tell us to F**K off and stop whinging, this lot seem to have lost all power to communicate.

I heartily disagree with your scurrilous statement Mr. Barret, Sir.
Peter tells you to "Bugger off". He is an old traditionalist don't you know. Tweed sports jackets and this jaunty modern lingo just don't match.
You don't know what you've had until its gone eh ??? Now who would have thought you would be looking for Peter to come back.

Ya wannah bet, although I have to admit that that it probably sounds more like "fook", and as I have been on the receiving end of countless examples of this particular expletive, I should know
I do remember him using the "tweed" term, I think he said " If that's that "tweed" Barrett, tell him to "fook" off, cos I had the racing line.

Anyone got the dates for the 2005 GT racing yet?
If you look at the Eclipse website there are some dates for 2005 that were posted on 19th November...

I have had a chat with the factory since the dinner.
The Challenge is under going a transition and that has introduced some uncertainty (as with TVR itself).
There will be a TVR Challenge in 2005. Categorically and without doubt. And I will be winning it (Ok that last bit is slightly more uncertain)
However it will be a transitional year, building the series back up for 2006 and beyond.
The vast majority of the cars will be existing Tuscans, but with some new cars too. John is also looking at ways of reducing running costs, and possibly being flexible about allowing some ex-Challenge cars back into the series.
We don't know which package we are running with yet. The big key for me is whether there will be TV coverage, and I think this is also being worked on. A move away from the GT package may give us more track time for less money - which has to be a good thing for us, although it may be a disappointment for those who like to watch the Tuscans and the GTs at the same meeting.
The situation is not ideal, and clearly as drivers seeking sponsorship it would be better to have something more concrete. However more details will emerge as things are firmed up, and I am told that TVR will in due course be advertising the series in the motorsport press.
Its not quite what was being talked about when TVR reversed their decision to axe the series, but all in all it is moving in a positive direction.
I think TVR are at the Race Car Live show at Brands on Saturday, and they will be at the Autosport Show in January.

No Brands Hatch on the provisional calendar yet? Looks like we will be able to make only 3 of the races next year due to several family commitments (50th, 60th and 80th Birthday parties to attend). Andy H will have to send me he home address so I can post his cake supply.

Thanks Rod - now I have an address where I can send my defunct 'rabbit'
Strangely enough I know Farnham quite well as my Grandfather used to be the Headmaster of the Boys Grammar School.

Andy knows the school well, he still attends, head boy you know, I think your Grandfather must have inforced the the rule that has kept him there for the last 23 years " all boys must pass the eleven plus before they leave"
