Long tour time lapse

I've got a few trips planned that I'd like to do a time lapse of on motorbike and in car.

What are my options?

I assume I'll need a 12V wiring kit for the camera (both bike and car) which shouldn't be an issue.

What about storage? If we're travelling maybe 5 hours a day, how's this to work?

3D footage would be good!

I wondered about go pro, but the main issue was could you put a card in there big enough to last kong enough (I assume you can easily get a 12v adapter for use both waterproof on a motorbike and inside a car)

Buy however many you need, work out how often you want it to shoot over a period of time and you'll know when to change the card. It's simple maths

Is there any talk of a 4K mode at 25/30fps?

GoPro 3 can take jpgs at three resolutions, and can take a 64gb card. That is a shed load of photos. If you have spare battery, it's that that you'll need to change every few hours.

Can't you wire it into a 12V supply on a bike/in a car?

Sure, it's a standard USB charger.

I was more concerned about the watertight case not being watertight any longer... unless there's an alternative case I don't know about?

I don't know! I have Sony Action cam and battery lasts much longer so I don't have that problem
