Collected my new Madone 5.9 yesterday after having a full bike fit which was a new experience for me. I've previously just gone on 'trial and error' but decided that I wanted to get the best out of my bike. Some interesting points were raised so I'll be working on my core and flexibility. Got a 56" but I'm long legged and short bodied so ended up with a longer seat pin and a 90mm stem to compensate. Apparently a 57" bike with a short stem would be perfect ... oh well, an excuse to change my winter bike now. 
Also saddle was swapped for a 148mm from a 138mm to stabalise my pelvis when peddling. Not cut the steerer yet ... first ride will be tomorrow so will see how comfortable I feel.
I was tempted to go for a Project One 6 series but felt that the 5.9 offered great value with full Dura Ace.
Bike spend it first night in a part decorated spare room instead of the garage!

H2 fit ... fitter didn't slam my stem (unfortunatly!) so still a couple of rings left. Don't worry about the windowsill, apparently they all do that.
Fresh from the shop ... don't worry, I'll take some better pictures (with chainset and tyre valves fully aligned) in a nicer part of the house tomorrow, ok?!

Yes 2 I think ... saw one in the shop, could be a future upgrade. PS I dont do DIY works as you get the results shown above!

Nice bike.....it needs the DA wheel upgrade (or equivalent), the Bont RL are not up to the rest of the spec. The wheel upgrade really brings out the best in the frame.....Personal experience rather than internet bravado...

Agreed and appreciate your experience. These will be training wheels on this or another bike as soon as I've decided what to go for. I tend to ride a fair few hills so have been considering the Bontrager Aelous 3 D3's as a compromise between aero and weight. Have fun, the weekend weather looks great!
Maiden voyage complete, 85 miles today ... bike feels superb. Handles, climbs and soaks up the uneven roads better than the bike it replaces. Comfortable with no aches and pains so first signs are very positive.

I have a set of these for mine, page 281 of the "show of he bike thread" (similar color way) if you want an idea of what they look like. It's a good all round wheel, same principal as the Firecrest from Zipp but cheaper (bike holiday). Deeper section, look really good but can be a bit compromised for normal use. It's an awesome bike, glad you enjoy riding it (wish I rode mine yesterday).
