Seriously considering one of these as my next bike

But Im far away from their shop to try so would be buying without sitting on one first. Any ideas on the sizing of planet x frames? are they true to size?

Only been out a few weeks but if anyones tried one would appreciate your opinion, seems a bargain for £599.

What do you mean "true to size"? There is a geometry chart telling you exactly the dimensions of the frame...

I'm 6' tall and ride a 58 (XL) carbon RT-58 with plenty of scope for adjustment.

I'm 5ft 9, so looking at a 54 I think. But I understand Planet x seem a bit more racy than other manufacturers, so was looking to confirm if anything unusual about their sizes.

54 should be fine.

I've got a Pro Carbon in a medium (48) which is suggested for 5'8 to 5'11, but I'm 5'7 with a longer upper body.

The RT-58 is their least racy design, their size guides on the web site seem OK to me.

I would strongly advise you got to the shop and try the bike out. See if it fits you well and you're happy with the geometry. there has been a shift towards a lot of bikes with a more relaxed geometry.

Hard to tell whether the position is right etc until you try the frame out.

Also, there is always room to tweak the frame fit so it is just right, but starting with the right frame size in the first place helps.

I've lost count on the number of people that have bought the wrong frame size and ended running a really long stem etc.

Top tube length is really important by the way. Seat tube length to an extent is easy to adjust...
