Rip the seats out and stick race ones in, lighten her up by throwing out the rear seats, install lowering springs, paint an RS colour, and away you go.
23K plus for little outlay. Wish I had a spare 10K.
300K plus mileage, fair play though.
Seriously, I'd be well interested in this if I had the dosh at the mo.

I thought this one could've been a great bargain:

The seller emailed me today to let me know that it went less than 24 hours after the advert was placed. I'll have to be quicker!

I would ask him to get the speedo fixed before buying it.

The madness of 964 prices at the moment, also a good lesson of the s
te that can be out there for top money.
Have you seen this particular car? I've seen it many times and would not describe it as such. It has always looked very well turned out when I've looked around and in it. A previous owner of it also owns a 964 cup and reckoned it was not far behind the cup in performance. He can certainly pedal a race car so I tend to believe him. At the figure being offered I'd say it's very much in line with current 964 pricing.
Do you think so Steve. I'd say low 20's but then who am I ?
I can understand (just) people paying £30k for a lovely original keeper but a LHD to RHD conversion has to be reflected on the price somewhere. Even as a track slag £28k is too much. I may well be priced wrong though.
Calling it s
te was a bit harsh mind Woz.

Well yes, it might be a little harsh, but come on, 28K for a Left to right conversion?
28K for a top dolar 964 C2 maybe, but this is taking the mickey somewhat, whatever has been spent on her, (and why would you, when its been converted from left to right? ) .
Lots spent, and 'HPI Clear with certificate' and lots of detail on whats been spent on it, but no mention that the car was LHD originally, unless I've missed it.
Too much dosh IMO and if an earlier poster is correct and it is the LHD/RHD one that was for sale a while back, it was up for an absolute age, because no one wanted it, and IMO rightly so.

Hi Mark, it all depends on what someone wants a 964 for these days. Back in 2011 when my mate Paul put it up for sale at £17K, no one was interested. The stigma of LHD/RHD conversion putting most people off. The lift off in 964 prices hadn't quite got going then. It got passed to a dealer early last year (I don't know if it was SOR) by which time the uplift in 964 prices was in full swing and the current owner bought it. I don't know how much for except that it was more than the 2011 price.

It's hard to find any 964C2 now for less than £20K. If you can find one and then want to transform it in to an out and out track/race car, you're in for at least £10K and possibly more depending on the extent of the paint that's done on it. So for less than the cost of a donor 964 and the upgrade costs, this one's ready to use. You also don't have to wait months and months for it all to be done or have to take that phone call that says,..."we've just discovered that it's going to need x and that's going to add £££ to the original estimate!
Going on other less extensive RS-fied 964s that have recently sold at dealers I'd guess this one would be up at £35K if it was still LHD (i.e. the conversion is reflected in the price). I've no connection with the seller. I just think it's a reasonable price for what you get if you're after a ready to go track car. I'd still try and knock him down a bit though.
