Well, I am now the proud owner of a Toyota Celica GT4 Carlos Sainz Ltd Edition. I must thank all of you for the input, it proved very helpful indeed.
If you click you should be ablt to see it. I am very very happy, despite spending 4 hours on the M25 on the way back.
Now all I have to do is try to get used to 4WD and turbo lag!!

Cheers Guys 'n' Gals.

(ps, perhaps I should change my screenname to something GT4 related?) ed_GT4_turbo_4WD_carlos_sainz_ltd_edition_toyota_celica?)

I wonder why the click link didn't work. Cheers for sorting mate.
And yes, it is an absolute beast. Rollin Road printout showing 248BHP!! Thats over double my last car (MK1 MR2, 122 BHP).
I'm in 2 minds about the wheels though, they are off the new shape Celica, so they are original Toyota, but I also got another set of 17in wheels and tyres and the original wheels with the car as well. Other than perhaps fitting a dumpvalve, I think its going to stay how it is (except the occasional PH sticker in the back window obviously)

Looks great

My brother had an St205 that colour.....cost him a fortune to keep on the road though!!!

Might I suggest dropping it down a little, as it looks like it's up on stilts. I think a 60mm drop on coil overs would sort it and even make the wheels look better

Great car

I've had a bad experience with lowering cars for everyday use. My Saxo wouldn't go into multi-storey car parks, or over speed bumps or mini- roundabouts.
Agreed, it would look better, but as I need to use it everyday, it'll probably stay how it is. Plus, after buying the car, and forking out the insurance & HPi all in 1 day (not to mention the fuel!), I dont reckonI'll be spending too much money on it just yet!

Hehehehehe I have had similar issues with clearence on previous cars, thankfully my current car only seems to have those issues with the incline onto my drive

A nice drop on your car shouldn't be low enough to cause that level of grief though. If the saintz handles the same as the standard Gt4, it would welcome a wee drop to improve it's turn in.

Might be wise to clear christmas and save some cash though, insurance scum have a habit of bleeding you dry!!!!!!!!!!

Good lad. You know it makes sense. Looks like a smart one. I had a ST182 that colour (profile)

www.gt4oc.com for all you GT-Foursome needs.

I'd suggest a 60mm drop is excessive. I'm dropping my 25mm, and stiffening the back end to resist understeer a touch more and I have concerns about drivability.

You won't regret it.
