I need to restick and tidy up some of my Chimaera's carpeting and was wondering which was the best glue to use. I was planning to use some kind of UHU type stuff for sticking fabrics and plastics unless anyone has any better suggestions?

Thanks.

just been talking about this on a Tamora thread. I've used Copydex - it holds the carpet fine but is fairly weak so yoiu can rip it back again for access if you need to without damage

I looked for ages for a good glue for this and ended up with a can of spray impact adhesive Halfords sold, it seems similar to the original used and is easy to apply being a spray

cant remenber if its their own brand or not but very good for what your doing with the carpets etc.

only concern was the overspray which is realy difficuilt to remove if left and this glue dries fairly fast..

For a permanent job I'd use Evo-Stik contact adhesive, which you can put on exactly with a spreader. For best results allow the correct drying time before pressing the surfaces together.

I've used this also, but bought it from local DIY shop.

Highly recomend it
