I know it would be hugely expensive if it was faster, but f6.3 at 600mm is unfortunately too slow for me, otherwise I would grab one, great price for the length though.

That's a lot of lens for the money.

Be interesting to see the price of the Sony mount version .... "sans stabilisation"

Interesting, I've got a 100-400 for long jobs but some more reach would always be useful, and the f6.3 doesn't concern me too much, it'd go on a 5D3 with crazy high ISO so I'd just ramp it up a touch. F6.3 will still do a good job of isolating a subject, at 600mm with a subject 50m away you're still only looking at 0.41m DoF.

That's extremely impressive performance. I'm not too concerned about f/6.3 either so this may well be in my camera bag once I've sorted the man maths. I might have to trade something in. frown
