Nope, still trying to organise insurance everyone seems to want a tracker. And most of the quotes are about £850
2001, One owner Carbon Black. and almost every extra they seem to list Black nappa inside with walnut trim.
Its gonna sit nice and snug in my garage with the TVR on one side and the Cobra on the other.
The 850s gonna stay outside in the cold.

Moaning b1tchality aside, congrats old boy, they really are bloody good.
Been using my beetle this week since I semi-goosed mine and on a quick prole jaunt northwards last night, I was struck by just how easy it is to go indecently quick in the Bimmer, even next to Ferdy's extra microwaved jelly moulds.
For example, I find banning speeds (on the land of Norfolk, natch) in the beetle feel pretty sharpish and whilst they do too in the mile Munchener, the uber saloon smoothes you there with all the ease of a premium Texan buttered steak but dangerously, unlike the pole vault effect of stratospherics in the 911 (i.e. you're up but feel semi-obliged to come right back down the momemt you've treble topped), the M5 whispers softly that contrary to popular myth, warp speed in not merely something to be quickly dipped into, rather, savoured for more than a few, fleeting moments.
Er, just watch the fuel level...

I am still in utter awe of the damn thing. Mine was (apparently) hand built when Pontius was still a pilot but feels like new, the doors shut with authority, the bonnet feels like it was milled from solid steel and snicks shut, I have only just discovered that the wipers change from normal speed to intermittent when you stop, they also have a piston that pushes them into the windscreen as speed increases, everything works and works with teutonic efficiency, the interior is ergonomic perfection, the driving position is so so comfortable, even the end of my knob glows red! On the road it feels totally comfortable and stable with astonishing ability when hustled, in fact, it is a true jekyll and hyde, try and overdo it and it politely makes you feel as if you know nowt but will pootle around quite happily if required. The engine feels like it was lifted from the Ark Royal and sounds sublime, especially when the inlet manifold thingy opens up.
As you can tell I'm amazed at the engineering skill and attention to detail, just wish for a bit more urgency pre 4000rpm. I am very keen to find a later one, possibly post Jurassic.

rain sensors? Surely not much to work out (and it's difficult to test without rain ). I presume you're talking about the auto-wipers (one notch up to activate and they are turned on when it rains - the frequency/speed depends on the speed you're travelling).
Oh, and congrats on the purchase (you lucky git)

Joy! It seems as though the M5 has a self-curing mode that I wasn't aware of, warning light orf, limp mode feels quite deactivated so about 30 minutes ago, normal service appeared to have been resumed...this is one quick car once rolling, bloody marvellous!
