GTV MOT advisories
Discussion
Alright all. looking at buying a 2000 GTV TS off a friend for a very reasonable price. It will need an MOT soon.
Some of the advisories from last years MOT are:
Rear Upper Radius arm joint slight movement in ball joints both sides
cars rear springs corroded,
rear exhaust box deteriorating
I also know that:
manifold is slightly blowing (gasket has been replaced).
rocker oil leak
heater is not working (matrix?)
It has hardly moved in the last few months so won't have had much more wear since last MOT.
Without spending a fortune with official Alfa parts what would be the worst case scenario on getting the car sorted in your opinion? Would it need new Radius arms or just bushes etc
Any advice appreciated cheers

Pretty sure you can rebush the rear arms, springs will clean up with a wire brush and repaint, perfect time for a freeflowing rear exhaust system,Some of the advisories from last years MOT are:

Manifold might have a hole in or a missing stud, easy enough to do, rocker leak is common, either knackered gasket or the usual is someone overtightened the holding bolts and cracked it, is the heater not blowing at all or just on speed 4 ??
