This year's event at Euston Hall is on Sunday 8th June- anybody going/entering the car?
Entrance is £8 per car including driver + 1 adult
Am hoping to be able to go this year with car + would be nice to see a few more? I can't recall seeing any of our "proper" cars there
Cheers,

Jeremy

Euston?

Is that where the NASA Apollo Space Programme Mission Control Centre was based?

scratchchin I think a few of us may be in a town called Karlsruhe on that day.
Or hopelessly lost somewhere in the Black Forest. confused
Euston, we have a problem......

Poor planning by the Euston Fair organisers- should have checked against the Eurotour dates first obviously!

Never quite seen driving a TVR as a rural past-time, that was until I saw one in a local bodyshop the other day that had clearly been through a hedge backwards and into something firm eek A good 5 grands worth of fibreglass and rear end damage, and an interesting collection of twigs on the rear parcel shelf.

hope to be goin, but not sure which car to take. If not sold my old triumph gt6 convertible, will take that to advertise it.

this is a great show for those who have never been, you can even pay for an helicopter ride or have a go at archery.

Loads of old steam powered machinery and good old fashioned classic crafts on display.

And for this forum, their is always a good selection of classic cars and you get to do a ring parade too like they do at lavenham rare breeds show.

look forward to seeing whoever turns up in their tvr there.

scratchchin Hmmm, I imagine it would be fun to have a go at archery from a helicopter. smile

But I'll be touring all the best cement works in Germany that Steve & Tom have kindly suggested & mapped out for me. wink

Mike,
Far from being silly, I think the downdraught from the rotors would blow the arrows straight back at you.

Far better to use a typical Norfolk rural pastime country pursuit method:

A 'TOW ' wire-guided anti-tank missile should do the job.

Excellent day had Sunday, hot & sunny all day (came back with pink'npainful legs as had omitted the sunblock), good turnout of cars-sadly yet again mine was the only TVR though I had heard sightings of a vast convoy "doing a Meatloaf" in Europe the same weekend so that might explain it. Even got a Car Brass as a momento, but struggling to find someone to weld it to the bonnet for some reason. Hopefully next year won't clash with the Eurotour so you guys might join and show the locals what proper cars can look/sound like. Highlight of the day for me was a Spitfire doing a proper low level flyby so you got an excellent view and the noise was just unbeatable (yes- I have to admit it sounded even better than an S at full chat). Tried to get a photos but he was moving to fast for the Nokia to catch
Reading all various threads/photos sounds like you boys had a brilliant time on Tour-very pleased for you all.thumbup

Bum, I completely forgot this event. Ended up thinking I had something planned, but couldn't find the info.
So repaired a dent in daughters car and helped my son refurb some alloy wheels for his 206...
I could have escaped to Euston... !!!!
Please post on next years "S" Forum Events Wiki ..
