Healey Silverstone chassis question

Although it is based on the same idea it has significant mods.
The engine is 6" further back so there are engine mounts further back, the original mounts are still partly there because the suspension catch wires go onto the cross tube.
The cruciform is moved back, can't just cut the old one and weld it back in because the chassis rails aren't parallel so it needs to be wider.
The rear chassis is shorter, chopped off just after the high point over the back axle.
Presumably you're looking at building/buying a Silverstone rep on a Tickford chassis? I think some of the reps have been built on a unmodified chassis, not sure how the gearlever fits in/do your knuckles hit the dash! There is still space for the engine, it was moved to improve the weight balance.
There are some Reps being built at the moment with modified chassis and ali bodies so all the exact details are known, you could probably have a chassis altered by the guy that's doing it them if your budget runs to that.
Height warning! I'm about 5'11" with short legs/long back and in a D type can't change gear because I only fit in with my knees apart, I've not driven a E type, they have a bit more space I think.

Can't help but I have just been looking at your website! Fascinating stuff, I do 3D scanning and CAD comparison for a living in the auto industry and have often thought there's a gap for it in the historic market.Hats off to you for getting in there with the technology
