Stratford Amouries?

Not car related but can anyone shed some light on whether this museum is still open? The website and telephone number are both not working and a Google search doesnt seem to throw up anything to say that they are shut!

Any local knowledge would be appreciated!

That is because Stratford Armouries is now best known for this

And the pub that is now under the Armouries brand just down the road at Pethlow on the A3400.

I am not certain what has happened to the Museum itself but I seem to recall that there was talk of refurbishment.

Not sure on the museum, but half of the exhibits are outside for a walk-around anyway (including what can only be described as a siege-crossbow!).

The building with the kids play-area has some museum-y stuff off to the right as you go in, so unless they've changed in the last 5-6 months, then at least some of it is still there...

I contacted the SoA tourist board and they said it was open on Sat-Sun...which was no use for us as were going to be that way on a week day.

Never mind the Midland Air Museum looks good instead, as well as Kenilworth Castle
