Just had my Carrera 4 serviced yesterday at Chester - and they did a great job but I noticed prior to service that the MPG figure varied between 26 and almost 28.

Today, however, it showing between 22 and 24.

I'm not bothered by it but interested to know what has changed?

Any thoughts?

They drove it properly on the post service test drive biggrin

In reality they probably left it sat running for ages.

It doesn't take much idling to drop the mpg reading. And the car probably idled some. My cars (Boxster and Turbo) get idled around 15 minutes when in for oil/filter service. (I have tracking/data monitoring devices in both cars that let me view this activity - and other things -- online.)

Thanks for that.

Courtesy car was a new Boxster S, which sounded and drove really well.

Still prefer mine though...
