I was just wondering about the mounting systems for these cameras.

Are they all 1/4" standard female tripod?

How do you achieve the mounting options you need and are these limited compared to GoPro?

I think you can get adaptors for all the above cameras.

Sony does have a 1/4" standard female tripod as standard.

Much more options with 1/4" mounts than gopro could ever come up with tbh.

See if you can get an account for Manfrotto they do loads of really good suction mounts etc etc.

Just a few options.

Standard Suction Mount

Standard Mount with Gopro next to it.

Bar Mount

If I need to use a small mount the one on the right is a good option, made by the same people who supply GoPro but a much better ball set up.

Using the 1/4" also opens up options like

And you can use tripods hehe

1/4" is the way forward TBH

Thanks guys. So Sony and it looks like Drift use 1/4". What about Contour?

The reason I ask is, I was thinking about marketing some of the GoPro stuff we sell to people who own these other makes of camera and just add the GoPro > 1/4" Adapter in the package.

Contour Roam2 has 1/4" tripod mount and quite a neat quick release mount system on the sides. It comes with a couple of self-adhesive helmet mounts but additional mounts are outrageously expensive.

Thanks for that.

I'll list some of the stuff as compatible and see how it goes. Might be a non-starter but you never know.
