Hi all,

Can someone give me an idea off the cost of a pair of 6 pot calipers from a mk2 gt3 for a 996 mk1 gt3 ?

Cheers

That's great, thanks.

So for the upgrade, and a pair of Alcons I'm looking at somewhere around 4k fitted ?

See my invoice not including fitting, so either free if you're handy or not if you're, erm, not.

Is that what they cost now? Used to be able to get a pair for that.

Yep and the Motorsport ones that used to be cheaper tripled in price mid December 2013 and are approx £1150+vat each.

not sure on the price for Alcons but we use Girodisc because of their longevity and braking performance. 6pots on front, giro discs all corners, pagid29, braided lines, SRF and fitted is £5k incl vat. Clearly if you are only doing the front, then you would save about 1400 off that price.

I knew I had asked this one before, but I could not find that post for the life of me. Thanks!

I realise this isnt the easiest thing to tell, but I assume these are the calipers I need and these are alcon discs. Is there any life left in these discs ?

Do I need anything else from the mk2 set up to make these calipers fit a mk1 ?

How soon do you need them? I will have a set available by the end of Feb.

Nothing too exciting - I have some brand new ones that will be going on in a couple of weeks.

I did look at the PF forged ones but at ~£2K each they were too much, even for me wink
