Free classic car magazines for pick up in London

I have over 100 car magazines, mainly classic cars, but some various ones from over the last few years that I'm getting rid of. If someone wants them they're available to be picked up within the next week before they're recycled...

I'm based in Islington, London N1.

This has come up so many times before and it seems almost impossible to get rid of them. As an idea, what I used to do was regularly take them to a doctor's/dentist's/whatever waiting room. We've all sat there twiddling our thumbs while awaiting our turn. It's better than junking them.

Dumping your own magazines in the recycling bins just doesn't feel right. But giving them away or donating them takes away that guilty feeling.

In the absence of willing recipients I suggest a 'PH Magazine Buddy' system, whereby magazines are exchanged and then dumped. Magazines you have received for free can be dumped without guilt.

I agree that it's much better to give them away than just dumping or recycling them, but I am moving overseas next week and no longer have a car so I can't get anywhere to deliver them as there are so many of them

I have tried advertising on other car forums over the last few weeks but have only had interest in people wanting me to box them up and courier them (at their cost) but I just don't have the time.

I really am loathe to recycle them but if nobody wants them within the next week then that may just happen....

What sort of length is that...? I have some lovely empty shelves at work that they would fit wonderfully into. I'm in London, SE1, and would gladly save them from the recycle bin. Are you around this weekend?

I estimate that the stack of magazines is approx 1 metre high, perfect for empty shelves!

I'm around most of Saturday and first thing Sunday morning, PM me if you want more details.
