I think I'm going to abandon fitting the XJS seats I have, as I think they will be to high up, and unfortunately more of a pain to fit than I currently have time for, so can anyone who's fitted Chimaera seat in an S answer a couple of questions for me...

Do they change the height in comparison to the original S seats ?

Are the mount holes in the same place ? (i.e. Is it just a 'drop in' fit)

Are they comfy ?

The XJS seats are lovely and if I didn't have a long long list of jobs to do I might persevere with them, but chimaera seats seem, well, just so easy

I fitted Chimaera seats into my S2 last year and they do give you more surport ,not too sure if they change the height but they did just 'drop' into place
Good luck

I have Chimaera seats in one car, and stock seats in another. The stock seats are more comfortable (read soft) on a run, but the Chimaera seats support much better when hooning around. Personally I prefer the appearance of the Chimaera seats, but that might be because my stock seats have velour inserts that are a bit '80's (of course!). I don't think the height or driving position is much different between them.

I did Terry ! Took a while but found a beauty in the end. It's chalk and cheese with the TVR, which is also nice.

Seat porn cool i fitted Chim` seats to my S2 a few years ago. The seats I fitted had a small bracket under each seat rail at the two front bolt positions, I removed the nuts and brackets to give a level seating position. they do drop straight in, I feel that it gives a more supported driving position, but felt strange at first.
