Anyone know a cheap car hire place??

Some friends are wanting to hire a decent size car (estate) for a holiday
to the south of france. They'd be driving from London down to Biarritz
for 2 weeks, 4 drivers all over 25.
So far they've got £870 for a Vulva V70 or an Astra turbo diesel estate for £564.
Anyone know any good companies/deals? Cheaper is better, but it needs to
take 4 people in comfort (its a long drive) and a load of camping gear etc.
(i'm alright as i'm driving the breadvan)

You can try these people. I've used them for Portugal and the USA but not from hiring from the UK.

Used have similar ridiculous quotes for estate cars in the past, we used to hire them for exhibitions in Europe (taking out a couple of staff and loads of equipment), ended up hiring Renault Espaces direct from a Renault dealer at half the price, loads of room for gear and not a bad tool for this kind of venture.
