Working Abroad

Hello everyone! Iv basically got some questions to ask about working abroad.

I am 19, iv had various jobs and id like to work abroad for a while before i apply for the RAF again at the end of the year. Im just wondering if anybody has done this? as in say a club rep? or a ski instructor?


Iv had a scope about google and applied for a few positions mainly in france. I really want to get something in the hills so i could go snowboarding on days off. I also wouldnt mind being say a club rep or working in a hotel.

Getting late in the season now but you could try skijobs.com (?google it). Chalets Direct has a forum for late jobs too.

If it is next season it will probably be easier.

Probably not as a ski instructor though as French laws make it pretty restrictive to get into that.

Working the Chalets is a good way to get into the ski zones, however:
you will need some skills for the jobs, even the basic ones. Get work for the summer in a pub/ restaurant, that should provide you with enough skills. OR take a basic cooking course.
One word of warning, most of the chalet companies that advertise in the UK will employ you as a UK national, pay into a UK bank, and offer UK based contracts. This means you are in effect working in the UK for legal purposes and are not entitled to any of the benefits of the country you are physically working in. It also means they are not bound by the sometimes more lenient working regs of ,say, France.

Thanks for the replies guys, had a look around and applied for some more things and i recieved an email earlier saying i had been accepted to attend a interview day with thomas cook in 10 days, the job is working as a transfer rep. Anybody ever done that?
