New Porsche Centre Tewkesbury

Not sure if people have heard but I believe there is a new Porsche centre opening in Tewkesbury later this year. Just off jct 9 of the M5. I only know this as I sold a new excavator to the groundworker on site back towards the end of last year. Just driven past tonight and it has started to take shape. Has anyone heard of the opening date? Also it looks rather big

Didn't know Porsche were moving into the boat market. If they are are, Tewkesbury would be ideal at the moment.

Yes, it's another branch of dick lovetts up I believe. Very handy for us Cotswolds and Cheltenham folk....

I heard about this 18 months ago or so, so yes there might be truth in it.

If it's where I think it is, next to the M5, then floods shouldn't be a problem, well if they do flood, we are all stuffed..
Bring it on, iI wont have to travel silly miles to either look at cars or service my motor.

Very handy for me living only 10 miles away, suppose they will me looking to recruit in the coming months too. Can only be good for the local area

The proposal from Dick Lovett Companies Ltd would be a prominent and large showroom close to the junction nine roundabout on the M5.

A Dick Lovett spokesman told the Gloucestershire Echo : ‘This development will create an impressive feature on the edge of this major road system and entrance gateway to Tewkesbury.’

The showroom would add to the company’s centres in Swindon, Bristol and Cardiff, and the two and a half acre site would include a large showroom, service centre and customer car park.

Tewkesbury town mayor Ken Powell said ‘It’s good news and should provide a bit more extra employment for the town. That piece of land has been empty for a long time.’

Shopkeeper Nickie Philipson-Stow, a member of Tewkesbury Chamber of Commerce’s committee said: ‘A Porsche garage will be lovely, very smart and a good investment in Tewkesbury.’
