Shoe shizzle - specifically Fizik and Sidi

Bit of an odd one. Does anyone here run the 2013> Fizik R3s or R1s OR the current Sidi Ergo 3 Vents, and can comment on the heel hold (i.e. degree of heel slip, shape/width of heel cup) of either, the degree/effectiveness of heel adjustment within the Sidis, and the arch/heel support of either?

Seems I've got skinny heels (hence require a narrow/tight heel cup) that require a lot of support, which if not present, makes my lift out the shoe and the foot/heel roll lazily inwards (overpronation: bring the arch down, even though my feet aren't flat). All the shoes I've tried bar one result in heel slip

My current shoes are Fizik R3 SLs from 2012, which have a damn near perfect heel and an almighty arch support. I like them. However, I'm after a second pair of shoes which aren't quite so extreme with regards to arches (to be corrected during a bike fitting), just in case the Fiziks turn out to be too much over time/distance...

i've got the Sidi Ergo 3 shoes with speedplay specific soles with the 'comfort insoles' which give an even more pronounced heel cup, a little more arch support and a tad more cushioning under the mid-foot. I have to say they are the most comfortable shoes I've ever had and my heel is held in a (comfortable!) vice-like grip. I've not had to use the heel adjustment but it is handy it's available.

2013 Fizik R3's have good heal hold. Great fit for my feet, especially with the SIDAS insole upgrade.
Nice wide front, heading to a fairly narrow heal.

Might want to have a look at Suplest; the heel ergonomics in mine are great, narrowing between the base and the ankle and have 70-80 little silicone grippers.
