Can anyone comment on the amount of dust you get with these ?

Considerijg them instead of RS29

I have used them but not RS29s. I also wanted low dust.
They worked for me. I would say materially no more dust than OEM.

The dust is very fine, so the wheels look powdercoated after a while and not dirty like from "normal" pads.
It washes off very easily.

How about noise? I had 29s and they were pretty much un-usable in daily driving...

Low noise. Probably squeal a bit but nothing that has ever bothered me. This is with PFC slotted discs btw.

They sound better than PF97's then - that dust (lots of it) is very nasty, particularly when it gets wet. It embeds itself in wheels & paintwork. Clay bar is the only thing that really removes it. I will try them when my 97's wear out - apart from the dust they are brilliant pads.

When I originally changed to PFCs my requirements were a good performance solution which is low dust and low noise. I was informed that the 97's are a brilliant but dusty/corrosive. At the time PF08's were a good endurance pad with low dust.

I am less enamoured to the slotted discs though. They perform very well but will start to show crack lines fairly quickly depending on usage. The dimpled discs are, I am told, longer wearing with perhaps a little less initial bite. Happy to hear from anyone else with experience of both slotted and dimpled.

Personally I find the dust a real pain and a mare to get off, especially if the car gets wet. Even get dust behind the door handles! For road work I will be going back to OEM.

For double the cost, I must not be going fast enough to benifit !

I've gone for PF08 to replace RS29s. They wont go in for a few weeks but should get their first proper outing at the Oulton RS day. I've gone for PF11 rears, again to replace RS29s.

I've used both dimpled & slotted - 5 sets in total. They are identical discs other than the dimpled/slotted part. They both suffer with heat cracks but they are mainly on the surface. So long as they are not deep or extend to the outer edge they are nothing to worry about. If you are looking for ultimate brake performance, the PF01 (now PF11) pad is where you should be looking. The dust isn't like the '97 pad but they do tend to squeal on the road because they need a bit of heat in them to work. PF06 works really well as a rear pad.
