Probably limited to how light the car gets at speed and how brave (foolish) the driver is before they chicken out. I've never taken J-LLO over 110 (in Germany!) but always aware that the road needs to be clear with no possible incidents. They don't stop so well as some modern cars from high speed so I think that this governs the effective vmax.
....wot Mike said...let's see on the autobahn in Germany on the Eurotour this year...should get a good average over all the cars with views on tyre sizes, bravery etc
Failing that, I believe that the fast oval at the Bosch test track is banked....my personal target is 200mph (after all you won't get the most out of life if you don't raise your expectations)...I think I need to shed a little more wight from the car..

Depends how much room you've got and bravery as mentioned above.
110 mph on an airfield and it felt more. Not sure I'd take it much higher. All on standard wheels/tryes

Max your speedo said 120mph, top was off too

It was the braking distance that worried/limited me

I got mine (V6) up to 130mph, but not a lot more, on the Bruntingthorpe airfield as part of the Asda On Your Marks charity day last year.
I also think mine was the slowest car on the back straight as well, with almost everything passing me.
And how old were your tyres on the day?I also think mine was the slowest car on the back straight as well, with almost everything passing me.
One word: cojones!

130 on an RAF runway in heavy rain but the front end was lifting a fair bit and I would not have gone faster if I could, schimg was doing about 170 in the cerb though and Bob about 155 in his Tam I think.110 mph on an airfield and it felt more. Now, the next year on a dry day in the cerb was about 165 on a much shorter track with odd smelling brakes at the end

This year who knows...... ;-)
