Remove remote lock out from Reba Fork

Does anyone know how to remove the remote lock out on a Reba fork and replace it with a conventional lock on the top of the fork?

I'm fed up with my remote lock out sticking and would like to convert it to a lock on the top of the fork

I hated mine on my SIDs; you can get a kit to convert it back to non remote; it's about £24.
The return spring just isn't strong enough and no matter how much I cleaned mine, it seized constantly.
My Fox Floats are non remote; so much better!
I think TF Tuned also have a "fix" of some sort but no idea how good it is.

Hmm, that's not ideal though - when I lock my forks when climbing, it's like a little hand is pushing me along. Just seems to inject a bit of extra efficiency.

I'd say only leave them unlocked if you jump a lot - you can blow out the dampers (apparently).

which mechanism do you have? I have the PopLoc on my RL's and it's been working great for a year now (though this is Oz so there its more dusty here than muddy)

I took mine off, sold the poploc on ebay for paid and just got used to not locking the forks. Less crap on the handlebars.
