Time to adjust the handbrake MOT next month, I had a new cable fitted last year by those fellows in Oxford, near. It now needs adjusting. Is it the device hidden away near diff seen from offside rear arch or do I do it at the lever end ? Is it just an adjuster on one side ?

Thank you

David

You are right, the adjuster is on the OS rear above the diff. You should have 2 white plastic wheels which you need to sleacken to release from each other (a la locking nuts) then tighten away.

Yep, do-able whilst car on axle stands.
Adjuster above..and I think, just in front of diff.,
Slacken white nylon lock/backing nut, then screw 'other' nut to tighten cable.
Spin wheels to make sure brakes aren't binding, then nip up lock nut.

Just done, easy job by TVR standards.
You have to force your hands in between small gaps and turn a nylon cog covered in grease, upside down under the car.

good handbrake now though

Thanks for the advice.

Worth making sure that the levers on both rear calipers return fully to their stops as it makes a big difference to how well the handbrake works.
