Having owned a 360 Ferrari CS , then a Porsche 997 Gen/2 GT3RS,and now I have a
Aston Martin VantageS which is ok but not that impressed.
Having researched a little on Lamborghini's I do like the early superleggera there are 3
for sale on piston heads, a Orange one, a Grey one, and a White one, I also like very much
the 2 wheel drive Balboni and having looked on piston heads and auto trader there are none
for sale.
Could any Lamborghini owners of these cars give me some advice on servicing
Reliability and what to look out for on buying , at this moment I have set my heart on the Balboni
And if anyone may know if a Balboni is or coming up for sale .

Thanks for some advice spoke to a few lamborgihini dealers today and they have no baloni's
even said very rare now and a manual ever harder to find by saying there may only be one or two now in the UK (manuals)
As for the SL many early ones 2007-2008 have gone overseas the dealer told me ,he said the later SL are better to drive
And more available he even said they were offered a 2013 in green today with under 2,000 miles and he could
Let me have this car for around 135 k which he said is a great price compared to a ferrari 458.
But my budget is around 100k as for reply on my CS yes great car but not out of this world and only wish
I held on to it longer as prices now are going through the roof (only reason)but having owed one for 3years or so they are
Not worth what they are asking when you can buy the 430 suderia for less money now.
As for relplies I have not had a test drive in a SL or a balboni I have drove few years back a friends yellow 06 gallardo which was very nice to drive
Had some information on the 2SL 's for sale at the moment a white one and the other in orange(which was not very good on both cars)
The grey one I will phone about that tomorrow it is a 2007 with 14k or so miles

Agree with your comments on the CS but word of warning please do not dish da car as their owners are sensitive souls and only want to talk about how good the appreciation is and not how good it is to drive ( or isn't depending on your opinion which counts for jack if that's the case ).
Maybe you should look at an early LP version 560-4 , they are well sorted cars and a big improvement on earlier models hence the circa £20k used car price differential

hi OP.....
for info re the cars, this is the best thread... all the cars feature....
http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...
why specifically a balboni.... a 550-2 is the same car without the decorative stripe....
personally, i would recommend driving both and seeing which you prefer....

A year ago I was looking for a Manual Balboni/LP560-2. I bought a Gen1 Superleggera - Bullet proof Engine, epic to drive, one of the best engine notes ever created and a fantastic interior with very strong residuals - it was the right decision for me.
wasn;t yours up for sale just recently? not a rebuke, just a question, as you never said it was a keeper.... We'll after a lot of thought I purchased a new Lamborghini Gallardo 50th Anniversary LP560-2 collected today from Leicester Lamborghini who I must say were excellent from start to end and a special thank you to Paul
I have not had much time to take some better pictures ,just these few when I got the car home will post some better ones and let you know how the car performs
