advice on tyres

just after peoples opinions on which tyres to go for, the bike is a demo 8 it still has the spec front tyre on it came with and a maxis minnion DHR ont back. to tell the truth i was never impressed with the minnion but i did like the spec tyres it came with. the side walls are much stronger on the spec ones and can run lower pressures with out any trouble, any way anyone got any ideas?

I used to swap tyres as the seasons changed until I discovered High Rollers
Now I just fit and forget

They are not as good as a full mud, which at the moment is a bit of an issue, or a full slick however approach 90% of each which is plenty good enough for me

Beware though that not all High Rollers are the same, my pal had a set of OEM on a Planet X which were clearly rubbish compared to mine

I use nobby nic evo's front and rear.very good in the mud we have at the moment and perfectly good in the dry. I line the inside of the tyres with panracer kevlar tape that has made a massive difference puncture wise. They do me fine for my local riding in the chilterns and when we go to afan. In the alps I use a 2.5 minion on the front and 2.35 high roller on the back. Dual ply front and back.
