Why don't BMW make one? I'd love an M3 Touring - practical enough to please the mrs and the dog, but with all the fun that a proper M car brings!
I agree! Only reason i got the pathetic wannabee that is the M135i is that I need a dog-boot. I'd have an M3 touring in a heartbeat, then I could post here. Alternatively- http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C458904

V10 loveliness.
Market not there in my opinion. Sure they are uber cool and I personally would love one once a family comes along, but I don't think they would sell that many.
Would make a fantastic used buy, but what family man is going to be able to sneak the cost of a new M3 Touring passed the missus without her noticing

Here is mine - currently in production...................

I'm swapping over all the E90 M3 components including the M3 engine with DCT box. The only thing left of the host car will be the shell.
BMW could have quite easily built this.

Looks amazing!
How easy have you found the build?
The build has been fairly straight forward so far, there are just lots of detail changes that have to be considered. For example the front wings don't fit straight on as they do not line up with the brackets normally found at the back of the wings on an E90/E91 non M (so you have to cut off the original ones and replace with those from an E90 M3). How easy have you found the build?
The headlamp brakets that connect with the frame rails need to be replaced as the originals are in the wrong position in relation to the M3 front panel.
Then you have the rear arches to consider. We have used most of the E90 M3 rear quarter panel and have cut it just below the rear side windows and joined up to the rear lights. We have also used the complete inner arches from an E90 M3 so that everything fits perfectly.
To fit the rear exhaust there are a number of brackets, hangers etc.. that need to be welded onto the floor and the plastic boot floor swapped to a 335i/335d/M3 part which is bolted in.
Basically the bodywork changes are the real issue The rear axle and front axle both bolt straight in as the floor is the same on all E9x cars.
I haven't got to the wiring yet but I'm sure that will be fun....
