Not sure it is in Egham any more. They recently set up a new UK office or ownership of the franchise changed or something. The head office is now in a new building in Slough if I remember correctly.

Ferrari and Maserati move to new premises in Slough.

Ferrari Maserati UK Ltd is the new name for the importer of Ferrari and Maserati cars in the UK. The transfer from Maranello Concessionaires Ltd (part of Inchcape plc) took place on 1 October 2004 and the company is now operating from new premises, as part of the Ferrari Maserati Group.

Massimo Fedeli is the new Managing Director of Ferrari Maserati UK Ltd and joins the company from his recent position as Aftersales Director for Maserati SpA.

2004 has been a landmark year for the Ferrari Maserati Group with new models from both Maserati and Ferrari, the return of Maserati to GT racing and the continuing success for the Scuderia Ferrari Formula One team.

The huge financial investment in new cars and motorsport has also been matched by capital investment in the national branches (importers) of Ferrari and Maserati across the world, and the Ferrari Maserati Group has a stated strategic aim to run its key markets directly. Alongside its existing markets in the USA, Germany and Italy the company has in 2004 transferred the French, Dutch, Belgian, Middle East and now British branches to be controlled centrally by the Group.

So will the Egham by-pass site remain a dealership?

I hope so, as I get to have a good look each time I visit my parents's place. Don't really fancy driving through Sluff (such a lovely place) to get my Fezza and Mazzer fix.

They've just moved the Ferrari concession from Thorpe Industrial estate to Sluff.

I was round the back visiting a client this morning and it looks like they are dismantling the Spray and Body shop and revamping the whole place !!

What is it about Sluff? Fiat's UK HQ is there too.

Oh, and the odd Citroen was built there many moons ago.

No. HR Owen plc is completely distinct from Inchcape plc. On the other hand, Inchcape do own Maranello Sales. Inchcape (as Maranello) took over HR Owen's former dealership in St. Albans...
