A few pics from Sundays run of the South Wales FOC. 150 miles around mid Wales.

About 15 Ferraris in total and 5 Elises, 2 Porsche Turbo's and a DB7 Vantage.

Nice photos. Loving the fact that the owners of the 'raris can presumably drive them capably at speed, yet can't do a bay park!

It's probably so they don't park too close together and risk knocking doors...

The last 2 shots were taken at the pub where the run finished for lunch. The owner is Italian and has a 430 on order. He had cordoned off the main area of the car park for us and had 3 security guards patrolling around keeping an eye on the cars while we all had lunch.

Very well organised and a good day.

Craig

No problem. If you need any details of some good routes let me know. There are some fantastic Roads in Mid Wales with no cameras and little traffic (if you dicount the sheep!)

The road from Brecon to Builth is absolutely amazing but probably more so for Elises than wider exotica.

You really are spoilt for choice around there though.

The run sounds good, make sure you keep us posted.

Hello there

we came across your convoy on the A470

we were on a run in the porsche-1.net beacons run in the polar silver 996 carrera.

11 cars in total covering most of the modern Porsche range!

www.porsche-1.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=715&st=160

Hope you had as good a time as us

Cheers
Paul

Cheers Paul.

We had a lot of cars in the opposite direction flashing lights at us to warn of the dreaded Scamera Vans on the A470.

Lots of other bikes and cars out around Brecon as it was such a nice day.

We had 2 Porsche Turbo's with us.

yes, saw the two porkers - a couple of cars up the field.

we started at the back and the two 512's (i think) kindly let us past, but traffic prevented further progress!

Where were the scamera vans? We did this road northbound on Sunday lunchtime between merthyr and brecon. We saw one driving on the road southbound and passed it in the opposite direction at 'around' 130 which was amusing!

The main roads around the A470 and Brecon are a nightmare on a nice day as they are out in force to catch the bikers.

I find it easier to get off the beaten track and find some tight twisty roads which are just perfect for the Elise.
