Hello to the forrum that I shall be frequenting more often than the TVR from here on in

Just about to clinch a deal on a Med. Blue CC 4200 Spyder, but want to collect with a system fitted, was going to go for the Tubbi as I have seen a video of one roaring up the road and it sounded awsome, but when I asked the dealer to locate one for me, he advised me that the Larini system sounds better and is cheaper, he sent me a clip but not a very representational one.

Has anyone else got any experience with this make?

Thanks

I have heard several Tubi systems on a 4200.. The sound of the Tubi is quality but without being over the top if you know what I mean...? Its sounds like a perfectly conducted orchestra througout the rev range.

pvapour,

My best mate has a Larini on his 550M and it sounds fantastic. Tubi was more quite a bit more expensive IIRC and didn't look any better. Both well made systems.

Interested to hear when fitted, if poss, or a decent sound clip.

the Larini was originaly for Lambos apparently, they are made in the UK and have a good rep for quality as Matt said, big difference is the cost £750 inc VAT for the Larini, compared to about £1300 for the Tubi I beleive.

The Larini is noisier apparently, but I have not heard either so can't compare to TVR (my bench mark).

Will get around to fitting one wheeeeeen summer arrives I guess.

Keep us posted.......

Hi Pva - Ordered Tubi Today -
If you ever want to order an exhaust system talk to "Manu" at Scuderia Systems.
He is a really decent guy and his customer service is outstanding.
Highly recommended in my opinion.

Fitting should be around end of Jan / Beginning of Feb.
I cant wait!
Let me know where I can host the video clip guys ?
Cheers.

Hi Pva/Maserati3200GT

I agree Tubi is a fine system, although I have not heard a Larini. As I am a fine resident in Australia (the nation that has killed cricket!!), we have not been exposed to this unit before.

However, it seems that you fine gentlemen in the northern hemisphere have not been exposed to another fine product!!!! I have recently had a Mille Miglia unit fitted to my car (after previously owning a Tubi). What a difference!!!!!

The sound is more refined than a tubi. The tubi has an annoying resonance within the cabin. Not what you want from a $220k coupe! It does sound nice but a little 'rough'. There is also an annoying boom at low revs. The MilleMiglia unit has a lovely deep burble at idle that turns into a NASCAR type wail until about 4000rpm at which point the sound changes to a couple of 355's on full throttle at 8000rpm!!! Amazing.

However, as I am a numbers man (I am a financial controller - it is a habit that my wife hates as well....hehe), I wanted to see the results on a dyno. So the sales guy for Mille Miglia arranged for a back to back dyno run with the Tubi and to my suprise the Mille Miglia consistently release approx 5 - 8 kW more power than a tubi. Now that sounds small but the car does feel more lively with the MM than with the Tubi.

That was my Two Aussie Dollars worth!

Hi Maza,
Welcome to the Mad House !
Thanks for your good advice.

Ive gone for the Tubi for 2 reasons :

1. The Sound - I Love it !
2. The Customer Service and advice has been second to none with Scuderia.

Your comments do make a lot of sense and its down to personal choice I guess.
The Tubi makes the 3200 GT more "agressive" and the overall sound is more Ferrari based along the sound of the 355 etc..

Many Thanks Maza
Pete

Hi Maserati3200GT,
As you are the South Coast would be interested to hear your exhaust when you've had it fitted. Even more reason for a meet.
I have changed exhausts before on other cars and I'm a bit concerned about getting a heavy drone in the car especially for long journeys.
I'm hoping yours does not and I'll be the next customer.

Hi Guys,

I just thought I would introduce myself. My name is Sunny and a partner and myself have just become distributors of the Mille Miglia brand in the UK. Our company is called Stradale Racing (the website is still in the process of being built).

If you are interested in the Mille Miglia Exhaust or you want to judge the build quality of the system, I will be taking delivery of two systems later this week (F355 and Murcielago) and you are more than welcome to view the systems. If you are interested in a system for any Lamborghini/Maserati/Ferrari/Porsche/and M series BMW please drop us an email with your details and I will get in touch with you ASAP!

As the gentleman (Mazer) has mentioned these systems are awesome and handbuilt to the highest possible standards with guaranteed performance increase and sound guarantee aswell as a lifetime guarantee.

I hopefully look forward to hearing from you guys.
You can find our details on www.millemiglia.com.au and select dealers

Hi All

Thank-you for the warm welcome you fine gentlemen have given me!!!!

Maserati3200GT - not going for a Mille Miglia unit now are you??? Hahahahaha.

Something I did want to say though....irrespective which system you all choose, it is a personal choice. A choice that reflects our own personalities, opinions and tastes. The fact that you are all fitting units, thinking about fitting units or cannot afford to due to wives controlling the household budget, it is really refreshing to see enthusiasts that respect each others viewpoints and comments.

I am glad I joined this forum!!!!

NOW WHO IS NEXT IN AMPLIFYING THE NOISES OF A FINE ITALIAN THOROUGHBRED?? (ITALIAN WOMEN QUALIFY IN YOUR RESPONSES!)---- I ENDED UP MARRYING ONE BECAUSE OF THE NOISE

Maserati3200GT - I paid $3200AUS (included 10% GST and fitting was done in under an hour). I was told that the cost of the units are the same as a 3200GT, so perhaps that could be used as a guide, unless your distributor has access to some good rates
