Anyone want to share twin room for Burghley w/e gathering?

I have a twin room booked for me ( Thanks Barry ! ) at Holiday Inn Express PE2 6HE for 11/ 12/ 13th April 2014 for the Burghley TVR Gathering weekend.

I'm told it's approx 8 miles from Burghley House, so very handy.

Two nights B&B costs £104 * for the room, so if anyone wants to cough up £52 on arrival and share, it's available, first come, first served. No funny business mind !
( I'm a married man )

N.B. Earplugs and a gas mask recommended.

Sounds to me like an ideal raffle prize for a TVR event - A night locked in a room with Glen would be a big draw I'm sure.

Would I need to bring my own peacock?

Don't worry. If you look at the people in the Gentlemens Touring Section (I was going to say 'members' of the GTS but you may have construed this incorrectly) then you should have no fear. We have all been initiated - myself, Glen, Barry, Joe, Chris et Al and you will see a perfectly normal bunch of TVR owners..............

Thankyou Han for your kind suggestion, but despite my high regard for peacocks, I'm afraid Frank Thornton ( who played the part of Capt. Peacock ) passed away in March last year, so would not really be a suitable room-mate.

At least he was a straight gentleman of good character ( ex R.A.F. ), unlike some of those suggested by my so-called "mates" on here

Oh very sorry to hear he passed away, a real British gentleman he was !
Capt. Peacock and friends were also very popular in Holland some time ago ;-)
Your "peacock free" remark made me think of him..
