MTB saddles

In a quite stunning display of not reading the description properly I bought a saddle from CRC, only to find that it's got a T bar rather than (what I assumed was) the normal rail mounting.

So options. Send it back and get the right style seat, or get a new T bar seat post

Does anyone run this sort of seat on a MTB, what are the advantages / disadvantages etc

Gust googled T Bar Saddles but didn't come up with much.

I ran an I-Beam set up for some time on my previous bike, don't know if this is similar but I thought it was brilliant, no problems with it at all, easier adjustment too - I've still got it but it doesn't fit my current frame(s) otherwise I would still use it.
