New Ferrari design studies emerge

New Berlinetta but its status is unclear

New quite stunning designs from Ferrari have come to light.

The pictures speak for themselves -- there are more here: www.dgfdesign.it/set%20home.htm

Simple question:

Will they build it?

That is sensational. I love it.

This design was done by a collaboration of design students and Ferrari engineers. It is not an official Ferrari design.

oohh.. how about taking this concept and doing a no frills sports car... small V8 or V6 of maybe 2.5L and a Maserati badge...... priced to go head to head with the Boxster S... Could be a winner.. please Fiat!!!

These are quite old. As rightly said this was a design exercise by some local car design students. Over a year ago I think.

Still bloody lovely.

Mmmh, a lightwight Maserati, isn't that how they started?
Great marketing idea, since like with Golf and 3-series, the constant evolution of the Ferrari 'base'model has left a hole at the bottom of the range.
If they make it uncomfortable / hard edged enough it can be as fast as an F430 or Gran Sport without eating the sales.
Or they could of course make it an Alfa :-)

A new Ferrari?

Or is it a case of this is what the Enzo was going to look like before they made their mind up and launched the F60?

Whew Dinkel, tasty pics.

Maybe they should ditch this Ferrari idea altogether and push for the Alfa route.

Who needs a new Ferrari anyway?

Wow...

It looks like a cross between a bad 70s kit car and a dinghy.

I HATE it. The front, the back, the side... I really don't see a single redeeming asset to that design... except maybe the top view, but how many times do you see that? It had better drive very well...

just wow...

Absolutly bloody gorgeous.
Perfect. Stunning. The best.

I have been looking at my big bumper book of the history of concept cars tonight (its got a better title than that really) which contains some of the best cars I have never seen.

But...
This Ferrari is possibly the most stunning sports car ever.

Soon to be seen on boys bedroom walls everywhere!

Brilliant attention to detail on the web site. A very well thought out study, if it was done by students then bloody well done.

Yeah, nice work those are. Thanks for more pics of the 33 Stradale dinkel - I still want one ;-)

Just a thought - half of the 575's V12 would make a rather tasty 2.9 V6. A bit of tweaking could get that to 280-odd bhp. oh well, doesn't hurt to dream...

Ciao

Nice side profile, but the front and rear 3/4 views make it look like it's been smacked around with the ugly stick. Too fussy with the details IMHO. I suspect it will look a lot better in the metal though.
